MISTAKE #1 AFTER A CAR/MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT
 Insurance companies tend to call very quickly after an accident. They record your comments, "Oh I'm glad that you are not hurt." "Yes, I'm doing O.K.".

Without some basic legal advice, there are many traps the honest person can fall into. DON'T BE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE!! CALL FIRST!!
DRIVE WITHOUT INSURANCE That if you drive your car without insurance, you may lose ALL rights to wage benefit and to medical benefits. You may also lose ALL rights to claim any damages against others even if they caused an accident.
INSURANCE COVERAGE
You MUST have "Underinsured" and "Uninsured" coverages on you policy. These provisions protect you and your family if you are injured by someone who has no insurance on their vehicle.
INSURANCE COSTS
That if you are retired and no longer are making a "wage", you can lower your automobile insurance costs.
ALCOHOL That if you drive while having alcohol in your system, your rights to claim damages for injuries may be compromised.
AUTO/LIFE INSURANCE
That many insurance companies have an automatic "Life Insurance" benefit attached to the vehicle coverage, without additional cost? You must ask.
SEAT BELTS
That if you are injured in a car accident, caused by others, your injury damages can automatically be reduced by 5% or more.
NEW CAR PURCHASE That when you buy a new car, there may be a "hidden" Arbitration Clause. These clauses mean that you are giving up your right to sue in court if the car turns out to be a lemon.
ACCIDENTAL DEATH POLICY That if you have had some prior ailment or sickness, the insurance company may attempt to deny payments. You MUST be very careful filling out any/all information about past illnesses.
